How it all began
For the love of the sea
Hi, I'm Bennet and the founder of AMOR MARIS. I learned to surf with my dad in Pepelow on the Salzhaff when I was five years old. "My dad showed me how to steer the rig and board. I rode my first few meters and was immediately hooked. It was as if something was reaching out to grab me. From that point on, the sea wouldn't let me go."
Back then, like almost everyone else, I switched from windsurfing to kitesurfing. "I first got the chance to surf on summer holidays in the South of France when I was ten. Since then, I've lived with and for the sea and water sports."
High-quality clothing from surfers to athletes
My childhood days are over; the boy I was back then is long grown up. Since then, I've managed a large nursing service in Wismar and am a father myself. I've remained loyal to surfing as a balance to my daily work life. Now, my passion has grown into something more – I've opened an online shop for surfing clothing. "Everything a surfer's heart desires and needs."

Made for wind and weather. Why buy from big American companies when you can make it yourself here?" The textiles are produced "just in time" in the EU, meaning when the customer orders. They are then finished by the Grevesmühlen-based company " Happy Tex " – printed or embroidered with my logo and design.
"That's part of my vision: to not only produce practical surfwear, but also to offer sustainable products. The textile industry, in particular, consumes a lot of resources. And every fourth or fifth textile ends up new and unused in the trash because it's thrown away!"
Slow Fashion – sustainable from Wismar
My philosophy: "We produce high-quality clothing, made from organic cotton or recycled polyester! You don't buy 20 sweaters that just sit in your closet, but three or four of good quality that will last a long time! Amor Maris will not have full warehouses or launch large sales; with our premium products, we stand for slow fashion." Vision of AMOR MARIS
My goal is to establish my brand as a sustainable surf fashion label in Germany. "It's a rocky road!" And for now, AMOR MARIS is still a one-man operation supported by friends and family. I'd be delighted if you would accompany and support me on my journey!
